Having uncovered the possibilities for the Edo people to have a clean slate Governorship personality in the forthcoming governorship elections in the state, it would interest you to know that the labour party is presenting some new green horn politicians who stepped into the Edo governorship race without venturing into the politics of the state not even as low as councilorship candidates in the past. 

This will be a metric opportunity that might make sense for the labour party if managed the right way as our analyst have shaded the matter ahead of the primaries to be conducted by the political parties as the inec timetable provides. 

If you look at the labour party very well in Edo state as a whole, you can see that it parades some underdog but   popular persons like Barrister Olumide Akpata who played his politics in the NBA at the national level and served as the association's President with so much bastardization of the Nigerian judiciary, with the allegations that history records that the NBA recorded the worst administration in history where judges and justices give subverted judgements without fears or favour, with no challenge coming from the leadership of the NBA managed by Akpata at a time.

With a very reckless lawyers scattered all over with the zeal to bribing judges and justices to get sided judgement for their clients. And also presenting the SAN title to questionable lawyers with evidence to provide that these lawyers are elements of subversion. 

Barrister Akpata was also said to have been the part of the leadership of the NBA when the former president Muhammad Buhari unconstitutionally removed the chief justice of Nigeria and replaced him with a sick and unqualified Justice Ibrahim Muhammad Tanko using the Presidential executive powers to display impunity without a word of confrontation form the leadership of the NBA where Akpata Olumide was the chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL) 

We looked on and expected that as a part of that same leadership which he later became the President, he should have resigned and opted out of that shambolic leadership which doesn't care about how the law profession fairs. 

So how can this kind of a personality be voted for as a Governorship candidate of a promising party in Edo like the LP in this era.

Nigerians had expected that he Akpata would have rejected the decision of the choice of Buhari in the indiscriminate removal of  Justice Walter Samuel Nkanu Onnoghen who was implicated in a ganged setup case hosted by the federal government under the buhari administration because he showed a signal that he won't be available to give a subverted judgement in the supreme court case between Atiku Abubakar of the PDP and Muhammedu Buhari of the APC when the case arises after the Presidential elections, remember that Nigerian politicians always prepare themselves ahead of time like we saw in the Buahri's appointment of Chief Justice Olukayode Ariwoola to seat as chief justice of the federation to be able to coordinate the subversion of the case between Peter Obi of the LP against Bola Tinubu of the APC in the just concluded President Election Petition Tribunal.

Moreover same Akpata was in the PDP some few months ago pitching tent with governor Obaseki to support the Atiku Abubakar presidency against Peter Obi in the just concluded Presidential elections. 

We are only outlining the chances of a man who was  part and parcel of a stopping force against the LP in Edo some months back to now become the state governorship candidate: that's a total no if LP has to win this election. 

It is even very clear that Olumide Akpata is a surrogate aspirant of Governor Godwin obaseki of the PDP with evidence of all the monies he has been showering on his campaign moves to achieving the feared dream of taking the LP ticket as candidate.

And yet another PDP late entry and expert jump-pologist political element is Barrister Ken Imasuangbon who has been a regular customer for the governorship position in Edo, every four years changing political platforms like a man who cannot stay with one woman per time, he is fondly called the rice man without a rice farm or factory pardon this comic, although not taking as a serious contender in the race because he is also known as a vote seller who is always ready to trade his winning chances for the highest bider. 

Imasuangbon was that PDP aspirant in the last governorship election that was said to have traded his governorship ticket to Godwin Obaseki when Obaseki was kicked out of the APC by his former godfather Adams Oshiohmole.

Meaning that he might easily get the LP ticket and also trade it again because it is known that a vote trader can never see the importance of fighting in the ring till the end,

what matters for such people will always be about how much they can be paid to let go their mandate given by the people. 

So for these and other reasons it will be very foolish for the leadership of the labour party to field such an aspirant on the ballot for a serious battle for the soul of Edo state.

Meanwhile he was also part of those who fought the LP in the just concluded presidential elections in the state. 

We don't know how his candidacy will attract votes from those who overwhelmingly voted for the LP over time. 

Some persons said in an interview that Ken Imasuangbon's candidacy for Edo governorship via the LP will be a total waste of time because he's too proud and arrogant as a person. And when the electorate see such a character in you as a politician, on election day you become the most nonsensical element to beat.

Another strong personality in the LP in Edo is this very new, cool and ever ready young political green horn spreading his wings almost everywhere you go in the Edo state and beyond.

He speaks very calmly while addressing the people across the state and has so much to offer in terms of leadership experience.

Dr Dorry Afe Okojie entered the race to be voted as the Governor of Edo state under the LP and has honestly displayed so much capacity and capability in the areas of giving back to the society via his foundation outreach projects around the state to educate, mobilise and inform the people, especially the youths that he said must stay away from cultism and find a craft in entertainment, technology and other areas of talents display where they can function as good indegenes of Edo state.

He is one of the best aspirants that the LP can boast of at the moment because almost all the aspirants in other political parties are individuals with questionable character because can not explain how they made their money and alot of them have a very low leadership quality in terms of even mobilizing the people of the state towards a responsive perspective for nation building.

This young personality will be the joker for the LP in Edo because he is very new, humble and clean, without any issue against him like we already have in Philip Shuibu, Ighodalo, Ize-Iyamu, Imasuangbon and Olumide Akpata plua all other aspirants across boards. 

Dorry Okojie is good to go, he will give whosoever the PDP, APC and the SDP finally presents on the political table of context a run for their money if given the chance to present the LP as candidate. 

The Edo election will provide a solid platform where the people will rather vote for a new and clean person to help drive the state into the next level of development. 

The Edo people have said it that they are coming out to vote for someone without issues and from the looks of things Dr Dorry Okojie falls in such a honorable capacity like no one else.

He is new, filled with capacity and also ready to deliver the goods to the people as a young person who can see for himself the problems of the state.

When he talks you can see the passion for a new Edo state creating values from his voice. 

He talks as if he wants to start the development from the first day in office to the last.

He was speaking to journalist sometime last week in his Benin city campaign  office, he said he's ready to go all out to reset Edo with a human faced policy that will be friendly with the people.

Governance is about the people and the only thing that can build a people is when the leaders recognize the voice of the people at all times.

We are not going back to the old ways. 

If we want a new Edo state we must do it right this time around.

He also told the media how he will rebrand the way things are done in Edo if the LP party nominates and vote him as their candidate.

Honestly speaking, Edo LP should field a clean young person like Dr Dorry Okojie if the party is ready to take over the state because Edo state is a state with a dominance of 70% youth voters who are always on ground to prove that the new progressive politicians bathed a movement called the Obidient family with a 100% readiness to vote out of the box whosoever PDP, APC or SDP presents as far as the LP presents a clean young person with capacity. 

So therefore, Edo LP has a huge work to do in making sure that the likes of Olumide Akpata and Ken Imasuangbon's antics would not help Governor Godwin Obaseki to use his political proximity surrogacy to retain power in the state which will not be a responsive influence for democracy and the good of the people of Edo state in general.
